Our Vision Statement

At Woodbury United Methodist Church we seek to be a spirit-filled community of fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

What is a "fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ?"

A fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ is committed to journeying with Christ daily (Ephesians 4:13).  We mature and become more Christ-like when we join with other followers to form a community that focuses regular attention on Five Principles of Discipleship.

What are the Five Principles of Discipleship?

Worship - the weekly celebration of the entire community of faith.

Service - naming and using our Spiritual Gifts and actively serving God with those gifts. 

Witness - telling others about how God is working  in our lives, changing us from the inside out, and inviting others to join us on a journey of faith toward God.

Prayer - being in the presence of  God and developing a deep, loving relationship with God.

Bible study - grounding our lives in God's word so we can know God and God's ways.
