March FoodShare Campaign
For I Was Hungry...

Throughout March, the congregations of Woodbury UMC and Peaceful Grove UMC will  join a greater community-wide effort to feed the hungry, by collecting  food and financial donations to support several  area food shelves:  Christian Cupboard  Emergency Food Shelf (Woodbury), Friends in Need Food Shelf (St. Paul Park), Department of Indian Work Food Shelf (Minneapolis) and Neighborhood House Food Shelf (St. Paul).

Each of these food shelves have seen a significant increase in the number of individuals/families seeking help to put food on their table.  Let’s join together to give generously to our local communities!

To guide you in your shopping, we have declared:

  • March 2:  Peanut Butter & Jelly Sunday (Bring PB&J and other yummies in jars or bottles)

  • March 9:  Canned Fruits & Veggies Round-up (Soups work also; PLEASE no expired items)

  • March 16:  In Pursuit of Packaged Foods (Rice, pasta, cereal, sugar, salt, etc)

  • March 23:  Easter Sunday - Festival of Toilet Paper & Tissues

  • March 30:  Ethnic Delights Sunday

Of course, food donations of any kind are welcome throughout the month, just be sure they are not perishable and are not old or expired products!
